Double Incision

What is Double Incision?

Double incision top surgery is a type of gender-affirming chest surgery typically performed on transgender men or non-binary individuals assigned female at birth who desire a more masculine chest appearance. In this procedure, the surgeon makes two horizontal incisions across the chest, usually along the natural fold beneath the pectoral muscles.

The excess breast tissue, skin, and fat are then removed, and the nipple-areola complex is resized and repositioned to create a more masculine contour. This surgery typically results in a flatter, more masculine chest appearance. It's a significant step for many transgender individuals in aligning their physical body with their gender identity.
